中国正在建设“两型”社会，“两型”这个专有名词已深入人心。可很多人问，“两型”是什么？所谓“两型”就是指资源节约型和环境友好型。可是，又有人问了，那资源节约型和环境友好型又分别是指什么？
资源节约型从字面意思上说，就是节约。将整个社会建立在节约资源的基础上，建立的核心就是节约资源、提高资源利用率、减少资源的消耗和环境代价实现所求。
而环境友好型就是指一种人与自然和谐共融的社会形态，其核心内涵是人类的生产和消费活动与自然生态系统相协调可持续发展。
现如今，生态环境遭到破坏，水污染严重、土地沙漠化程度日益严重……一系列的环境问题都在加重。但解决问题的方法，只能从身边做起，从小事做起。
在生活中，有一个鲜明的用水情况对比。我国东部地区，水资源丰富，用水毫不节约；而西北部地区，土地沙化，降水稀少，人们用水如金，能怎么省就怎么省。而生活在东部地区的人们，如果能稍微做一些节约用水的措施，比如说，随手关水龙头、一水多用……简简单单的小方法所节约下来的水源又能供西北地区人民用多久呢？
而水的污染，主要就是工业污水的排放，污水都大多排放在河流、江河湖泊中，使得水中缺少氧气，水中生物大量死去，发出难闻的气味，环境遭到污染。
如此现象，在我们身边比比皆是，比如随地吐痰，随地扔果皮纸屑，都对环境造成污染。而我们又该做些什么呢？当然是从日常小事做起，从自我做起。不随地乱扔垃圾，不随地吐痰，看到垃圾就捡起来，看到他人污染环境立即制止……

你们知道中国的版图有多大?呈什么形状吗?也许大多数人会说：“版图为九百六十万平方公里，形状像大公鸡!”但在陆地资源缺乏的今天，国人的观念还依然把大陆架遗弃在国土之外，难怪外国人侵占或掠夺我们的海上资源，我们竟是那么宽容或无可奈何。祖国现有一千二百六十万平方公里为黄色国土，三百万为蓝色国土，地图呈火炬形。人们的观点开始了变化。把海洋当作了废水排泄场。原本干净的大海变得脏兮兮的，发出一阵阵恶臭。许多鱼儿也受到了感染，翻起了白肚子。
以北京市为例：现在北京人均日产垃圾0.82千克，全市日产垃圾1.15吨。如按载重4吨的卡车计算，每天要运出2875卡车垃圾。这些数据实在很“可怕”。但在其中还有许多没统计到的垃圾呢!全国现在约13亿人，如果人均日产生活垃圾都为0.82千克，那么我们可以算一算：13亿乘以0.82千克等于10.66万吨!多么大的一个数字.几乎可以与一千零六十六头大象重量划上等号了!!!
为了减少垃圾的产生,我们要把家中的废品变为宝。少用一次性饭盒，一次性筷子，一次性塑料杯，拒绝使用一人性物品!尽量不使用不易降解塑料袋，减少地球的白色污染。这使我想起在书上看到的一篇文章——《珠穆朗玛峰上的垃圾清洁活动》许多人去那儿旅行、探险，随手扔下垃圾，人们自发清除这些垃圾的活动 ，保护这圣洁的雪山。
我不能使大家都行动起来，保护我们的家园，但我想，我能从自身做起，节约资源，保护环境。

可是，大量游客得到来，也给泰山带来了许多害处。比如说，爬泰山一般需要4—5个小时，一般会在泰山上吃饭，有一些人，吃完饭把塑料袋随手一扔，喝完水把水瓶一扔，这一扔不要紧，可是一年有多少游客登泰山啊！你扔一个塑料袋，我扔一个饮料瓶……一年得有多少白色垃圾？这样一天一天下去，早晚有一天，泰山会变成垃圾山，泰山是五岳之首吧！怎能让白色垃圾夺去了泰山那雄伟的气势呢！所以，我们应该尽到一个小主人的责任，应该时时刻刻想着：“我是泰山小主人，我有责任维护泰山的环境，应该尽全力把泰山上的白色垃圾收集起来，扔到垃圾桶里，劝阻大家不要随便扔拉圾，告诉大家泰山的污染情况，让更多的人加入我们的队伍，让泰山比原来更雄伟，更壮观。”我要尽全力让泰山变成人类和动物的天堂。
还有，我每次上泰山，都会看到系着红绳的石头把大树压得低着头，弯着腰，我觉着大树肯定会非常痛苦吧！我知道，人们认为，把系着红绳的石头扔到大树上，会给自己带来平安吉祥，可是，这种封建迷信的做法，既不安全又容易伤人，也破坏树木，还浪费资源。所以，我劝大家，不要往树上扔石头。

he world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. this may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earth's surface is covered with water. but about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. and we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. even worse, some of it has been polluted.
however, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. but our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. a limited water supply would have a bad effect on agriculture and industry. let me give you just one small exampie of how necessary water is to industry. did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?
we all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. one of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. for us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.
many people believe that the world’s supply of fresh water will never be used up. they think that fresh water comes from such a variety of sources that it is always sufficient for use. such an opinion leads to a shocking waste of water.
as a matter of fact, the earth is short of fresh water. furthermore, with the rapid growth of the world population, the rising demand for water by industry, and the serious pollution of our surroundings, the world is facing the ganger of running out of fresh water. actually, in some big cities, fresh water can not meet the daily needs.
therefore, to find new ways to save water is an urgent task. first, we should pass strict laws to control any waste of water. second, scientists must work even harder to purify sea water, and try to find substitute to reduce the use of fresh water.

工业的发展，在生产过程当中大量排出的废水、废气、废渣等物质通过大气、水、固体废渣的形式进入土壤；同时，耕地被人为施化肥、农药并进行污水灌溉，是大量的有害物质进入并在其中积累，从而造成土壤的污染，不再适合耕作。每形成1厘米厚表土需要100年到400年的时间；即使在人为参与、管理极好的情况下，也需要20年。全世界每年有500万公顷的土地不再适合耕作。德国、日本、硬度以及我国的人均耕地减少了一半以上。由于滥伐森林，滥垦草地，英气土壤破坏和土地流失，世界耕地表土地流失约为270亿吨一年。
与空气一样，地球上的水似乎是取之不尽的，用之不竭的。而只有淡水中的一小部分被人所实际利用。如果把全球的水看成一缸，淡水只有一汤勺，而能够被人利用的淡水只有一滴。当世界上10亿人空时，拥有水资源900亿立方米；到21世纪中期，世界人口达90多亿时，全人类也能分享在规模相当的水资源，而且水资源正在被人污染，工业服了、农药、生活行水都流向河流和浅层水。1立方米污水将造成8至10立方米的水无法使用。

although about 70 percent of the earth's surface is covered with water,there are many places in the world still running out of water. so we should make good use of water on earth.
